Raw Garden - Mendo Skies - 1:1 THC/CBD Live Resin Cartridge - 1g

Mendo Skies tastes like a garden after rain: fruit up front, flowers in the middle, damp earth underneath. It is a CBD 1:1 cart, CBD and THC in roughly equal measure, which puts about half the usual THC in each pull and brings the high on in smaller steps. Raw Garden grows the flower in Santa Barbara County, freezes it as soon as it is harvested and refines it into oil with nothing added. It is the cart for an evening that still has plans in it.

Genetics & Lineage

Listings disagree. Raw Garden's Weedmaps listing for this cart gives Mendo Stomper x Frosted Zinn x CBD, while a strain database, at least one retail menu and Leafly's page for a 2:1 version give Mendo Punch x Skystomper x CBD. They overlap more than they look: Raw Garden lists its own Mendo Stomper as Mendo Punch x Skystomper, and Skystomper is a Mephisto Genetics cross of Sour Stomper and Skywalker. The open question is Frosted Zinn. Raw Garden's strain library describes Frosted Zinn as Frosty x Zinn, an indica tagged berry, floral and earthy; it circulates as a clone-only cut with no published breeder. Raw Garden credits no breeder for its Mendo Stomper either, and other growers sell different plants under that name. The x CBD is a CBD-rich parent Raw Garden does not name. Nothing beyond these parents is published.

Flavor & Aroma

Raw Garden tags Mendo Skies fruity, floral and earthy, and that is a fair map of the pull: soft fruit on the inhale, closer to grape and blueberry than citrus, a floral middle, then an exhale of damp earth and a little pine. Weedmaps shortens its tag to earthy, and one retail menu reads it as earthy pine with grape sweetness on top. There is no terpene panel on the listing, though Raw Garden posts test results by batch number on its site.

Effects

Easygoing and clear. Weedmaps lists no effect tags for Mendo Skies, so this describes the format, not the strain. A balanced cart usually brings a gentle mood lift and looser shoulders within fifteen minutes, then a steady calm that still lets you read, cook or talk. Most of that softness comes from dose: roughly half the THC per puff of a standard Raw Garden cart, so the peak lands lower and stopping is easier. The CBD is not a brake, though. In a double-blind trial published in Neuropsychopharmacology, adding CBD at 1:1 did not lower the high from a matched THC dose. People reach for 1:1 carts for relaxation with less fog per puff.

Best For

Earthy-flavor fans: fruit and flowers over soil, not dessert-sweet
Afternoons that still need you: calm without the couch
Cutting back on THC: half the THC per puff, same ritual
Long dinners: relaxed enough to linger, clear enough to keep up
Cooking at home: loose, but still able to follow a recipe

Not for: THC-free shoppers, anyone with a drug test ahead, or heavy smokers chasing the top end of a THC-only cart.

Pairings

Food: savory and herby. A sandwich from Molinari Delicatessen on Columbus, or focaccia from Liguria Bakery on Stockton if you go early. Music: Bill Evans, Nick Drake, Bon Iver. Activity: the Filbert Steps up Telegraph Hill, gardens on both sides and the bay at the top. Pairs with Raw Garden Mystery Macrons later on if you want a full-strength indica to close the night.

Hardware & Extraction

Raw Garden grows its own flower, sun-grown with organically based, Clean Green certified practices, and freezes it right at harvest, so it is never dried or cured. That frozen material goes through closed-loop extraction with butane or propane, and heat and vacuum purge the solvent, which yields live resin. Raw Garden then refines it, pulling out the waxes, fats and tannins that muddy the color and gum up wicks. What remains is single-source oil: the flower's own cannabinoids, minor ones included, and its own terpenes, with no fillers, flavorings or outside terpenes. Distillate, by Raw Garden's definition, keeps only one cannabinoid. The cart itself is 510 thread, a glass tank with a ceramic mouthpiece that Raw Garden says stands up to heat and terpenes. The heating element is not specified. Raw Garden recommends 2.6 to 3.2 volts for fruity profiles.

Dosing

New to it: a single short pull, then fifteen minutes before deciding on another. A 1:1 lands softer than a THC-only cart, but there is still real THC in every pull.

Regular: two to four pulls spread across an afternoon or evening. The peak sits lower and rounder than your usual cart at the same count.

Heavy tolerance: four to six pulls, or make it your stay-functional cart. It will not reach a THC-only ceiling, and trying mostly burns through the gram.

Storage

Keep it standing up somewhere cool and dark. Warm oil runs thin and can leak, and a car parked in the sun will flatten the terpenes. The air bubble is normal; Raw Garden says the wick absorbs oil as a cart sits.

FAQ

Is Mendo Skies indica or sativa? Raw Garden does not say. It sells it as a CBD 1:1 cart, and Weedmaps gives it no indica, sativa or hybrid tag.

What is the lineage? Raw Garden's Weedmaps listing says Mendo Stomper x Frosted Zinn x CBD. Other listings say Mendo Punch x Skystomper x CBD; Raw Garden lists those two as Mendo Stomper's parents.

How strong is it? Roughly half the THC per puff of a standard Raw Garden cart, with a similar amount of CBD alongside.

Does the CBD cancel out the high? Not really. The gentler feel comes mainly from the smaller THC dose in each puff.

What does Mendo Skies taste like? Fruit on the inhale, a floral middle, an earthy finish with a little pine.

Is anything added to the oil? No. Raw Garden makes it from its own flowers only, with no additives, fillers, artificial flavors or outside terpenes.

Will it fit my battery? Yes, if it is a standard 510 battery. Raw Garden recommends 2.6 to 3.2 volts for fruity strains.
