Friendly - Super Lemon Haze - Nuresin Full Spectrum THC Tincture - 1000mg

Super Lemon Haze is the strain for an afternoon that needs to move faster. Amsterdam's Green House Seed Co. bred it from Lemon Skunk and Super Silver Haze, and it took first at the High Times Cannabis Cup there in 2008 and 2009. Friendly turns the strain into resin oil, blends it with organic MCT coconut oil and bottles 1000mg of THC in 30ml for its Friendly Drops line. No smoke, no battery, no smell on your jacket. A quarter dropper under the tongue is a measured daytime dose, and the same bottle stirs into food.

Genetics & Lineage

Green House crossed Lemon Skunk with its own Super Silver Haze, a Skunk, Northern Lights and Haze cross. The 2008 and 2009 Cup wins belong to Green House's flower, not to Friendly. Friendly's listings do not say whose plants went into this bottle, which cut, or whether the run was live or cured. Sources split on type. The Metrc item and the Weedmaps product listing say sativa, Weedmaps' strain page files Super Lemon Haze as a hybrid, and Leafly calls it a sativa-dominant hybrid.

Flavor & Aroma

Keep the strain and the bottle separate. The flower is lemon peel first, then sharper citrus, pine and a little herbal spice. Weedmaps tags it lemon, citrus and pine, and Leafly compares it to tart lemon candy, with terpinolene as the lead terpene. That is flower data. Friendly's listings show no terpene panel for this bottle, so nothing published says how much of that reaches the oil. Its Drops page lists two ingredients, resin oil and organic MCT coconut oil, and promises "No additives, no flavoring, no nonsense." MCT oil is thin and nearly tasteless, so expect the usual oil tincture taste: green, a little bitter, slick on the lips.

Effects

The strain's reputation is a quick, clear lift. Weedmaps tags it energetic, happy and uplifted, and Leafly adds focused. A tincture changes the shape. There is no first-minute rush like a joint; the lift builds over half an hour or so, holds for a few hours, and stretches out when more of the dose is swallowed. At a quarter dropper expect to feel brighter, chattier and more interested in the next thing. Overshoot and the haze can turn racy; Leafly lists anxiety, dry mouth and dry eyes as the common complaints.

Best For

  • Daytime dosing without smoke: nothing to light, nothing on your clothes
  • Low, repeatable doses: a quarter dropper is about 8mg by the label math, and the marked dropper repeats it
  • Home cooks: MCT is a fat, so it blends into dressings, yogurt or smoothies
  • Creative work and errands: the strain's reputation is focus and momentum
  • A slow afternoon in North Beach: a long lunch, a walk, a bookstore

Not for: first-timers who will not wait two hours to redose, anyone whose thoughts race on sativas, or anyone driving in the next six hours.

Pairings

Food: focaccia from Liguria Bakery at Stockton and Filbert. Go early, before the popular flavors sell out. Music: Talking Heads, Remain in Light, or anything with a fast bass line. Activity: the climb up Telegraph Hill to Coit Tower, then the upstairs Poetry Room at City Lights on Columbus.

How It Works

The Nuresin in the name is Friendly's extraction, which its site calls Nucleus, or Nu-Resin. Friendly describes it only in broad strokes: proprietary, tuned strain by strain, and run as live or cured resin depending on the batch. The method itself is not published. The resin is dissolved in organic MCT coconut oil, an easy carrier because THC is fat-soluble. Full spectrum means resin extract rather than an isolate, so more of the plant's minor cannabinoids stay in the oil, though Friendly's listings give no breakdown. Under the tongue, part of each dose absorbs through the lining of the mouth, so it starts sooner than an edible. What you swallow passes through the liver, which makes 11-hydroxy-THC, so that share arrives later and lasts longer. California requires a calibrated dropper or similar device with every tincture; Friendly's is marked.

Dosing

New to tinctures: 0.25ml, a quarter dropper, about 8mg by the label math (1000mg in 30ml is about 33mg per ml). Hold it under your tongue for 30 to 60 seconds, as Friendly directs, then swallow. Wait two full hours before taking more.

Regular user: half a dropper, about 17mg. Same two-hour wait before topping up.

Higher tolerance: a full 1ml dropper, about 33mg. Friendly's Drops page gives the same number, but it is label math, not a lab result, and Friendly notes potency can vary slightly by batch. Work up to it over a few sessions.

Storage

Cap it tight and keep it upright, away from heat and light, which break THC down over time. Drip from just above your tongue so the dropper stays clean. Keep it locked away from kids and pets.

FAQ

Is Super Lemon Haze indica or sativa? The Metrc item and the Weedmaps product listing say sativa. Weedmaps' strain page says hybrid, and Leafly says sativa-dominant hybrid.

How much THC is in a dropper? About 33mg in a full 1ml dropper, by the label math and Friendly's own figure. Start at a quarter dropper, about 8mg.

How long does it take to kick in? Usually 15 to 45 minutes under the tongue, and over an hour in food. Wait two hours before taking more.

Does it taste like lemon? Do not count on it. Friendly adds no flavoring and publishes no terpene data for the oil. Expect a mild, green, oily taste.

What is Nuresin? Friendly's name for its Nucleus extraction, which it calls proprietary and runs live or cured by batch. The method is not published.

Did Friendly win the Cannabis Cups? No. Green House Seed Co. won the 2008 and 2009 High Times Cannabis Cups with Super Lemon Haze flower. Friendly makes oil from the strain.

Can I cook with it? Yes. Stir it into something with a little fat, off the heat, and do the math: every ml is about 33mg.
