PLUGplay DNA - Pink Rose PLUG - 1g
PLUGplay DNA - Pink Rose PLUG - 1g
The name borrows from the wine list, and so do the tasting notes: strawberry, citrus, flowers, a creamy finish. Pink Rose (PLUGplay prints it Pink Rosé) is the pink pour of the DNA line, an indica-leaning hybrid PLUGplay says is built from Pink Kush x Acai, floral and berry up front with a little spice behind. One gram of oil in a magnetic PLUG pod that only runs on a PLAY battery. It is not Cookies' Pink Rozay.

Genetics & Lineage
Pink Kush x Acai. That is PLUGplay's own line, on the listing its homepage links to, and it is all the brand gives: no breeder, no word on which Acai. Pink Kush is the better-documented half. Leafly files it as an indica-dominant relative of OG Kush with rose, flowery and sweet as its top flavor tags, which fits both the name and the lean.
Leafly and Weedmaps both catalog the same cross, Pink Kush x Acai, as Pink Acai and credit it to Stiiizy, which explains the Pink Acai strain tag Weedmaps puts on this pod. PLUGplay does not use that name. Nor is this Cookies' Pink Rozay, a separate strain Weedmaps also lists as Pink Rose.
DNA stands for Daytime, Nighttime, Anytime: PLUGplay's sativa-dominant, indica-dominant and hybrid pods. The pack prints Anytime, the hybrid slot, and the listing calls it indica-leaning. Read it as an evening hybrid.
Flavor & Aroma
PLUGplay's notes are floral and berry with a faint spice and a creamy finish. Weedmaps' tags fill in the fruit: berry, strawberry, citrus, sweet, earthy. Together: strawberry candy and rose petal on the inhale, a little spice and earth underneath, and a soft, creamy exhale. The floral half tracks with Pink Kush. The candy half tracks with Pink Acai, which Weedmaps says Stiiizy compares to a pink Starburst.
PLUGplay has not published a terpene breakdown for Pink Rose. Leafly lists myrcene as dominant for both Pink Kush and Pink Acai, but that is strain data, not a lab panel for this pod. DNA pods are distillate with strain terpenes, so the flavor runs cleaner and more perfumed than flower: candy shop, not grow room. The wine is in the name, not the vapor.
Effects
PLUGplay describes an upbeat, euphoric start that eases into a calm, even body unwind, and pitches it at low-key social evenings. Weedmaps tags the listing euphoric, happy, uplifted and relaxed. No retail listing we checked has customer reviews yet, so the nearest crowd evidence is Leafly's page for Pink Acai, the same cross from other brands. One reviewer there wrote "My brain is tingly, my body is relaxed" and went off to play Candy Crush. The negatives on that page are dry mouth, anxiety and paranoia, the usual bill for strong THC taken too fast.
So: head first, body second. The Pink Kush half (relaxed, sleepy and hungry are its top Leafly effects) gets louder with every extra pull. A pull or two keeps it sociable. Keep going and you are on the couch with a snack, and with high-potency distillate the gap between those two is short.
Best For
- The hour after work: a quick lift, then shoulders down, without lighting a whole joint
- Sunset on Telegraph Hill: a pull or two before the climb to Coit Tower, while the sky goes pink
- Fruit-and-flower people: strawberry, rose and cream instead of gas and pine
- A quiet night off Washington Square Park: dinner, a record, an early bedtime if you keep pulling
Not for: 510-only setups, wake-and-bake, or anyone who gets anxious on strong distillate.
Pairings
Food: salt and fat against the sweet. North Beach makes that easy: focaccia, salumi and a soft cheese from a Columbus Ave deli, or a cannoli to lean into the cream. Music: slow and warm with room in it. Sade, Cleo Sol, a Chet Baker side. Activity: a paperback from City Lights Bookstore, cooking dinner with someone, the flat walk along the Embarcadero at dusk.
Hardware & Extraction
A PLUG is a closed-system magnetic pod: no battery inside, no 510 threads. It drops onto a PLUGplay PLAY battery and works with nothing else, so if you do not own one, add the PLAY Battery Kit from our Accessories shelf. PLUGplay's FAQ says five presses of the power button turn the battery on, and the brand rates it at 500mAh and more than 350 puffs per charge.
Retail listings describe DNA oil as distillate, and PLUGplay says the line is made with original strain terpenes. That makes DNA the strain-named line, next to EXOTICS (flavor-named, distillate base) and LIVEST (live resin from fresh-frozen plants). PLUGplay has not said where the Pink Rose terpenes come from or published coil and material details. Metrc spells the strain Pink Rose, which is why our menu does.
Dosing
New to vapes: one short pull, two or three seconds, then ten minutes off. The classic mistake is a second pull before the first has landed.
Regular user: two to four pulls across a session. When the body half shows up, that is Pink Kush telling you the job is done.
Heavy tolerance: pull as you like, but leave a breath or two between draws. Back-to-back rips heat the pod and flatten the flavor.
Storage
PLUGplay's guidance is a cool, dark place, away from direct sun and temperature extremes, with the pod upright so it does not leak. A parked car in the sun is the classic way to ruin one. If the draw tightens, the oil has thickened: warm the pod in your hands. Heat and age take the floral top note first.
