818 - Georgia Pie - 3.5g

$22.99

Georgia Pie is the peach cobbler strain: most write-ups describe baked peaches and warm crust on the nose, then a calm that settles into the body. This eighth comes from 818, a San Fernando Valley company that says it grows indoors in Arleta and Adelanto and sells its eighths as indoor flower. The strain traces to Seed Junky Genetics, the Southern California breeder, as a cross of Gelatti and Kush Mints. Pick it for fruit and pastry instead of gas, and for an evening that winds down rather than shuts off.

Genetics & Lineage

818 has not published a page for its Georgia Pie, so this lineage comes from the strain record. Georgia Pie was bred by Seed Junky Genetics from Gelatti and Kush Mints, and Cookies lists it among its strains. Leafly gives Gelatti as Gelato x Biscotti and Kush Mints as Bubba Kush x Animal Mints. The name is shared, though. SeedFinder notes that Seed Junky never sold Georgia Pie as feminized seed, while Zamnesia and Blimburn Seeds each sell their own feminized Georgia Pie made from the same two parents. Weedmaps and SeedFinder also list Sticky Buns as another name for the cross, and Weedmaps warns that a separate Sticky Buns from Capulator, a GG4 x MAC cross, is a different plant. 818 has not said whether its plants come from the Seed Junky cut or from one of the seed versions.

Flavor & Aroma

818 has not published tasting notes or a terpene panel. Leafly writes that it "smells and tastes just like fresh peach cobbler," and tags peach, apricot and tree fruit. SeedFinder adds a cookie note, with berries, cherries and sweet pastry behind the peach. Reviews of other growers' Georgia Pie mention a gassy edge once the buds are broken up, and one strain profile finds mint and an OG finish. Weedmaps, filing it under Sticky Buns, leans doughier: vanilla, cinnamon and cream. On terpenes, Leafly lists caryophyllene first, then limonene and humulene, which reads as pepper, citrus and a dry, hoppy note under the fruit. The package label carries the batch number and the tested numbers for the lot.

Effects

Leafly's review data tilts calm, with relaxed and tingly at the top of the list. SeedFinder's summary pairs a warm, tingling body with a happy, lifted head, and the Weedmaps entry describes the same arc: a cheerful start that eases into heavier relaxation. AllBud adds hungry and sleepy. So the shape is a lift in mood first, then the body takes over. Leafly also rates it strong and better suited to high-tolerance smokers, though one reviewer of a Cookies batch found it milder than a heavy indica. The usual downsides are dry mouth and dry eyes, and anxious shows up on Leafly's negatives list, so go slow if strong flower tends to make you edgy. Have snacks nearby.

Best For

  • After dinner: calm and body-forward, with a mood lift up front
  • Peach and pastry fans: fruit and baked crust instead of gas or pine
  • High-tolerance smokers: Leafly flags it as a strong one
  • A slow night in: a movie, a record, a couch
  • Trying 818: an eighth from a Valley grower with its own indoor cultivation licenses

Not for: mornings, focus work, or anyone chasing a racy, clear-headed sativa.

Pairings

Food: focaccia from Liguria Bakery, or a slice from Golden Boy Pizza for salt against the fruit. Music: warm and unhurried, a D'Angelo record, Khruangbin, late-period Sade. Activity: a walk through Washington Square on the way home, then the couch before the body side builds. On a different night, 818's Gas Face gives you another Seed Junky strain with citrus and diesel instead of peach.

Cultivation

818 is the San Fernando Valley's area code, and the company says it started there, founded by three friends who between them had worked in cultivation, dispensaries and construction. It says it grows in two indoor facilities, one in Arleta in the Valley and one in Adelanto in the high desert, and its own grow notes count more than 4,000 LED lights. State license records back up the Adelanto side: an 818 company holds a medium indoor cultivation license in San Bernardino County, and sister companies hold small indoor and nursery licenses. This eighth shipped from 818 Brands Los Angeles, the company's licensed distributor. The brand's grow notes stress tight control of the room and a careful dry and cure. What 818 has not published is which facility grew this Georgia Pie or when it was harvested.

Dosing

New to flower: one or two pulls from a joint or a small bowl, then wait fifteen minutes.

Regular smoker: a half-gram joint or a couple of bowls is an evening.

Heavy tolerance: a full gram after dinner; the body side keeps building as the session goes.

Storage

Keep it sealed, cool and dark. Fruit top notes are the first thing to go when flower dries out or sits in heat, and dry buds burn harsh. A humidity pack in a sealed container keeps the cure where 818 left it. Grind right before you smoke, not the night before.
