Genetics & Lineage

THC Design's own strain page says it plainly: Gorilla Goo, also known as GG4 or Gorilla Glue, is a cross of Chem's Sister, Sour Dubb and Chocolate Diesel. Presidential's Weedmaps listing for the strain repeats the three-way cross and credits THC Design as the grower. So this is not a Glue cross, it is the Glue, the same plant Joesy Wales and Lone Watie of GG Strains stumbled into when a hermaphrodite Chem's Sister pollinated a Sour Dubb, the seeds were crossed to Chocolate Diesel, and one phenotype changed the whole market. The Chem side is the fuel, the Sour Dubb is the sour funk, and Chocolate Diesel is where the odd cocoa note on the finish comes from. Weedmaps tags Presidential's version a hybrid; the strain itself leans sativa on paper and indica in practice once the resin count gets this high.
